Following the fourth published edition of OPEN: Kunst in het veranderende landschap (“Art in a changing landscape???), SKOR, in collaboration with the NAi, organized an evening of lectures titled Agritainment: De representatie van het landschap in de beleveniseconomie (“Agritainment: The representation of landscape in the experience economy???).

As a result of increased mobility, the emergence of the network society and the decline of the agricultural sector, the Dutch landscape is becoming more and more urbanized. Despite this, the image of landscape as portrayed by the media continues to emphasize its ‘authenticity’. This is pure fiction. Art plays a role in exposing this assumed authenticity but is this art itself capable of escaping the collective experience known as “Holland Amusement Park????
