Following the exhibition, Mobiele Architectuur (Mobile Architecture) which took place in 2001 on the former Storkterrein (now Oostenburgereiland) in Amsterdam, SKOR and the AFK commissioned ten artists to design a mobile residential and occupational unit. André van Bergen’s preliminary design was unanimously chosen to be carried out.

André van Bergen disconnected the functional spaces of a building and placed them as loose units on the undercarriage of a cart. The spaces can be linked to each other in various ways. Moving the units is made easy by linking them and connecting them to the back of a truck. It is expected that the mobile unit will be put to actual use on the Storkterrein in 2005.
The participants were Dirk van Lieshout, Luc Deleu, Liesbeth Bik, Jos van der Pol, Klaas Kloosterboer, Phantom Büro, Henrik Plenge Jacobson en Dominique Gonzales Foerster. The AFK, SKOR and Heijmans IBC Vastgoedontwikkeling (the owner of the former Storkterrein) will be responsible for maintenance.
