For the Hoge Hop (nursing home) in Hoorn, Louwrien Wijers created a contagious image. 'Madelievenê' (Daisies) welcome the visitor at the outside entrance. A whole row of daisies stands on the lawn where one can sit during the summer. In the hall an additional two have been placed. The insignificant and vulnerable flowers have, in this case, manifested themselves as giant flowers that radiate joy and vitality. According to Louwrien Wijers a resident of De Hoge Hop is like a daisy: vulnerable yet, at the same time, a human being with a radiant character. In addition to this a number of objects from the Zuiderzee museum’s collection, including a tile picture, were transferred to the Hoge Hop.
