The central waiting room at the Elkerliek Hospital in Helmond has a large panoramic window, offering a view of an unassuming little patio. In 1996 Aglaïa Konrad partly covered the semi-circular window wall with transparent photographic representations of cities, interiors and stills from feature films. The photographs break the wall open, as it were, providing a broad view of the world.
