Dera offers marvellous beauty in order to lift the patients out of the darkness for a moment. He feels that someone growing demented still has an awareness of beauty, however limited this may be. The first part of his project has already been produced and consists of a light box with six enlarged photographs of butterflies with a mysterious beauty.
