The American cultural historian and media theorist Siva Vaidhyanathan will give a lecture at De Balie in Amsterdam on October 19.

On the occasion of the publication of 'Open' 19, a lecture was organised in Berlin on June 12, 2010 by Gerald Raunig with the title 'Desiring Dividuality'

Te celebrate the launch of Open 15, philosopher Marc Schuilenburg will give a lecture (in Dutch) titled: 'New safety regimes; forms of social engineering in the 21st century' (Nieuwe regimes van veiligheid; vormen van maakbaarheid in de 21e eeuw).

McKenzie Wark gave a lecture titled 'Copyright, Copyleft, Copygift' as the fourth SKOR-lecture and presentation of 'Open' 12 on intellectual property and free public space.

This year’s SKOR lecture was given by Saskia Sassen, who talked about the ‘making’ of public space by means of architectural and artistic interventions.

On the occasion of the launch of 'Open' 17 on (In)tollerance and freedom of speech, artists Lonnie van Brummelen en Siebren de Haan will present an open letter.

The 9th issue of 'Open', cahier on art in the public domain about sound in public spaces will be presented in Food Facility at the Post CS in Amsterdam.

In response to the presentation of 'Open' 8, French/American cultural critic, Brian Holmes, gave a lecture about activistic practices and the practice of art. The lecture is titled: Radicalization and Expression: the effectiveness of cultural critique. Following this, he was interviewed by Willem van Weelden.
